
Store managers get a bonus but do the least amount of work. Most can't even complete the daily task, audits or other paperwork that is supposed to be required. It is the ground team that should get quarterly bonuses. Without them bussiness would come to a stand still.
Listen, hear, acknowledge and be proactive in asking the employees how they are, what can you do and make them feel appreciated. Get to know the employees and let them get to know you. Break down the wall of superiority. Make it feel like a general store again. It feels like a cold corporation.
