Our food service leader always complains that she doesn't want to be at work and always seems to call out on the weekend and management doesn't make her cover shifts which leaves the other short handed

I think on a corporate level they are doing the best they can in this strange time and are doing great, as for the store level leadership, I am not to happy about it. Our store manager says we can not enter our store on our days off and that is the only store we have in town.

They do not care if things break down at the store, they do not care about how low you get paid, and the CEO'S and higher ups are the only people that get bonuses.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am an assistant manager, and we have cashiers paid more.

What are some of the best things about your team?
Even though I point out things per shift still get i am working extra because what I say goes in one ear and goes out the other faster. If we can do our jobs we can succeed. But you have friends when getting written up gets torn up in the trash this store will not survive

Only the night shift at my store. When management is not there, we are happy not getting the third degree about things not getting done when the store is open all day itcould be done on different shifts

Most of them are very hard workers and do a very good job, but rarely get praised for their hard work. I feel they deserve to be at least praised and told they are appreciated more. Most of our team are very pleasant and friendly people who do a great job.

They need to stop all trying to be the boss and follow ethics in the work place

A lot of spoiled kids that do whatever they want and even though you are hired to manage, you are not allowed to because the manager is a micro manager

I'm not positive. I loved my job I loved all the positions I worked every chance I could even have done opening to closing shifts 18 hours. But people there didnt like that I stood up for myself and others and I would tell management if they were wrong or doing wrong and they didnt like that

Honestly, the team members have to be positive with each other, we don't get positive feed back from our manager. Our customers are mostly very understanding and positive.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Family working in the same place even though one in the front and her son in kitchen, not working! Causes too much drama and stress!

Honestly, I have been there 5 years and I didn't really have an interview. I was hired on the spot and did paperwork the same day. Started the next day.

What makes you most happy at work?
My regular customers! I love each one, greet them by name and provide the most excellent service ever. I love my job. When I get someone say this is like a small town experience that is where I grew up in a small town in North Dakota and we call everyone by there names not just another customer!

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Hire people that care put less managers in the store and more workers stop letting workers on any shift from standing around put food together correctly follow food service manual clean your kitchens our food service leader is not even in our kitchen half the time and she is sleeping with her employ

Our store manager needs to be a little nicer when she talks to us or leaves notes for us to read. She is very rude and very negative and is even known to cuss at her employees, I feel she is very unprofessional and I have had customers say she treats them the same way.
