Culture is the reason that people come to REI, it is too bad that the top level executives who have come from other companies for the culture are doing their best to destroy it.

Our pay at HQ has not kept up with increases at retail. We are an absolute afterthought at the individual contributor level. Directors and Managers are paid well, but individual buyers and analysts get the shaft.
