Under paid and under appreciated. Worked for the company for 7 years and only just started making $13 an hour this year. I am one of their best employees (in that i know most areas of the store including the cash office) and the highest annual raise i ever got was 45 cents. It's SO disheartening.

Honestly? Nothing. The only thing we find solace in is that we're in the misery together and we have to find ways to laugh about it or we'd lose our minds.
O que faz você mais feliz no trabalho?
I enjoy interacting with the customers and leaving them better than i found them. If i can have an awesome conversation with a customer it usually makes me feel good. But mostly it's when people bring their dogs in.

Retail workers are treated like crap. Point blank. We deserve a livable wage for the horrible things we're put through every day. Being a retail worker almost guarantees you to struggle with mental health issues because we are constantly treated less than human.

Appreciating the amount of work we do, recognizing it, and rewarding it. Clear communication. Stop prioritizing getting credit cards over customer satisfaction. And whoever has the power to do it GIVE US A LIVEABLE WAGE. You claim to be a progressive company but don't take care of your associates.

We support each other through all of the crap. That's the best way i can put it. BUT i will say that i work with a lot of teenagers and while some of them are great, some of them are awful. Which brings me back to liveable and competitive wages to find quality workers.
