Builders FirstSource: After 23 years of service my transition from the military to BFS was great. I felt completely supported by my new leadership and I was encouraged to use my leadership skills, learned while serving, and to put them into practice when I came on board.
Builders FirstSource: When I joined this company a year ago, everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The training I received was exceptional and thorough. The support is always there for any issue that may arise. The leadership keeps us well-informed of what is happening in the company.
Builders FirstSource: while only a couple of month, it has been great! the days and hours allow me to have a great work life balance

Builders FirstSource: I've been with BFS for 2-1/2 years. It has been nothing but positive. I feel like the compensation is very fair. We are a team environment. The only thing that I feel like could be improved upon is to be made aware of new opportunities within the company.
Builders FirstSource: In the 5 years I have been with the company I have been provided many opportunities to learn and grow. It is an amazing journey that I am proud to be a part of.
Builders FirstSource: It has been a good company to work for. Pay and advancement opportunities were forthcoming in the first five years, but have stagnated since the pandemic. I am happy to be here but if a better paying opportunity came along, I would be tempted to take it, even after being here for nearly ten years.

SPENDING MONEY TO SAVE MONEY NEVER WORKS, USUALLY IT JUST MAKES UPPER MANAGEMENT FEEL LIKE THEY ARE HELPING SHAREHOLDERS. OVERALL, ITS A GOOD COMPANY, WITH DECENT BENEFITS, BUT, I AM SURE CHANGE IS COMING.

Builders FirstSource: Been here since 2020 as a contractor. In less than a year I have been promoted to a more engaging position and I have traveled to both other HQs and the Vegas convention. Not to mention the opportunities I have to learn new skills.

Builders FirstSource: i am a disable vet w lots of management exp. so i had to cut down my resume. i was looking for a gopher postion. the gm at the time threw my resume away and said to talk myself into the postion. he said my job title would change about every 6 months. best job i have ever had.

Builders FirstSource: I started with the company knowing nothing about building materials. I was trained in every position I've held as I've moved up in the company. The company supported me each time I deployed with the National Guard. I always knew I would be coming home and still have a job.
Builders FirstSource: The Leadership above me is Fantastic! The Market Manager that I answer to knows how to hold you accountable, as well as praise for a good job.
Builders FirstSource: In my short time, (7 months, 4of those skillbridge) I have learned a lot and enjoyed my time thus far. Friendly staff makes being the new person very relaxing. EVERYONE is always willing to help to make the best for our employees and customers.

Builders FirstSource: I started my career at BFS almost a year ago with the intent of staying only a short period but decided to stay because of the atmosphere. We are a great team and anyone willing to work hard and be a productive part of the team has an equal chance for advancement to even leadership positions.
Builders FirstSource: It's been great. The work is great and meaningful. The market dictates how much work there is so if the market is slow, then you're hurting for something to do. Advancement isn't great in certain positions. Sometimes the only way to advance is for your direct manager to retire or move on.

I do work that is meaningful and instrumental to the success of my location and the pay and benefits are better than they were in the old company.

Builders FirstSource: I've been with the company for 26 years and have been through thick and thin with this company. I do know that we have good people in place when the going gets tough and that makes it better when you are going through the easy times with these people.
Builders FirstSource: Training is inadequate. Each new employee should be graded based on experience and put into the proper training pipeline based on experience level. The company loses a lot of money due to improper training.
Builders FirstSource: I started as a driver, now I'm a dispatcher, I hope to keep moving up to make BFS my home. However certain things need to be meet and some improvements need to be made. overall, though- enjoyable place that is continually growing, and we need to adapt and overcome new challenges.

I've done everything I can to help guide us through this time of expansion but then we lost half of our part of the company. This is very unsteady and I'm concerned about job security.

TaskUs: For the past 5 years, I've seen improvements and though there are still things/processes to improve, I can see that the company have grown far and I'm still happy to stay as long as they will really implement the promised changes on compensation.

Meta: Response to account problems (hacked or other) is too long. Add phone service to reduce redundancies in multiple accounts and address more problems quickly and proficiently. Currently average time to recover accounts is 2-3 wks+

BNSF Railway: We know our jobs well and trust our coworkers to work safley, but their are some bad ones you try to avoid.
Burger King: The customers really make my day
Charles Schwab: Positive performance is rewarded. Bonuses are not guaranteed.
3M: Best "can do, will do" bunch of people
