
Total compensation is great, but I wished there was more room for cash earnings, despite the fantastic equity offerings. However, I find the benefits to be competitive for the organization's size. In the future, I hope to see family leave expanded upon and modernized.
Starting in the pandemic could have been difficult, but Sila did a great job in making me feel connected during onboarding and beyond, reflective of the positive culture. I was surprised to find that Sila, at their size, had employee resource groups and found it unique and compelling.
The leadership team is great in laying out the roadmap and sharing target milestones for the organization. In addition, they seem very in touch with the "competitor" market and keep us informed about what they are seeing. That transparency is meaningful. They also seem to listen to the employees.
The End: It was an informative interview, and I had clarity of expectations. I met with the team in a two-on-one setting, allowing me to see people interact with one another. The volume of interviews left me feeling informed to make a decision. One or two fewer interviews would be more considerate.
The people and the work make it easy to get up every day, and I look forward to growing with them over time. Although I don't believe any place to be perfect, this does feel like a place where we are all empowered to use our voices to contribute to the future culture of Sila Nanotechnologies.
