Charles Schwab Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The ability to take a day off without getting coverage is really nice.

Review from Finance Dept

The benefits are pretty standard, pay is about right as well.

The Medical and HSA are outstanding.

Schwab pays people well in most departments.

Access to ESPP plan 15% discount, some 401k Match.

I don't use the Health Benefits, but there are programs aside from Health Insurance that incentivize: exercising, staying healthy and always having a positive sense of wellbeing.

The 30 percent annual bonus

DIRECTLY PAID MONTHLY COMMUTE STIPEND

Vacation and 401k benefits, asbbatical

Positive performance is rewarded. Bonuses are not guaranteed.

Employee stock purpchase program although stock options could have been better

Well personally we have one of the best in the industry that takes care of it's employees

Review from Finance Dept

Opportunity to earn more with effort and the ability to get stock at a discount

Paid to train/ study for licensing.

The comp is by and large fair, although the bonus structure has been consistently misrepresented

I'm paid above market for my role.

Comprehensive package , fully satisfied with what schwab offers

10% bonus and 1000 quarterly

High base salary with decent annual bonus as of now.

Money buys loyalty sometimes huh

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Equal industry pay, existing employee compensation based of real-time hiring and talent acquisition.

-The work/effort is not recognized - Over work hours; average pay

Undervalued. There are Unlicensed representatives that make just as much or more than me

Higher pay due to the risk associated with the job

Much less pay deductions from bonus checks

I make more and have better benefits as a teacher.

Reinstate the psp and ESOP plan

Review from Customer Support Dept

Benefits are too expensive and don't cover enough. Company needs to raise salary for employees.

Below industry wages, no stock unless you're c-suite, 2 weeks PTO until you're there 8 years, costly insurance, every benefit is lackluster.

Stock/equity awards are given based on relationships/friendships

Compensation package is not competitive for the current job market. Dated view of job families and grades. Bonus plan is very restrictive.

Pay a better portion of heakthcare, closer to oryer companies. Make equity work as an incebtive for more kevels of the organozation.

More transparency about salary ranges, distribution, performance. Raises, bonuses, equity compensation are mostly subjective and at the discretion of managers. No connection to transparent quarterly OKRs, so you're at the mercy of your leaderships' fleeting opinion of you. Leads to bad behaviours.

Above the median salary needs to happen.

The Key Contributor / RSU model is too delayed to retain talent. Change to where 25% vests immediately, and 25% per year the next 3 years.

Compensation is substandard and bonuses depend mostly on corporate performance targets that are not disclosed to employees

My base as the only woman in my branch is the lowest and literally half of every white male w the same experience that I work with.

Changing expectations and no growth

Review from Product Dept

Well below average for the industry and work. Tiny raises for top performers.

Review from Customer Support Dept

better health insurance - like more than one choice of plan
