Mandated sensitivity training and consequences for irresponsible/ harmful actions.
I always stayed busy and those I cared about made the job tolerable.
There needs to be a mandated training course for new employees rather than hoping they will learn on the job as well as sensitivity training.
It needs to be more than a greeting and "when can you start?" Anyone will be hired regardless of whether or not they are even able to perform the job.
This company has a habit of making sure that minorities are undervalued for their work effort, workplace discrimination and bullying are ignored, and serious issues regarding management are never taken care of.
I have since left the company and felt undervalued because I was expected to perform above and beyond along with most of my former manager's job whilst only being paid as an inshopper.
One way that the company could improve would be by conducting thorough background checks on all employees as well as consistent drug testing for managers, especially if concern is coming from one of their employees.
There were very few employees who have stayed with the company who had a positive impact on my particular store. Many have since left, leaving them with a mostly abhorrent staff. I was harassed, threatened, all by colleagues who were not let go because the manager was in desperate need of employees.
