I would say in comparison to the UP side Loup is a lot more positive and has a better overall outlook for work/life balance and advancement.
The leadership structure is fairly flat and with the size of LOUP there are a lot of opportunities to be seen by leadership that you don't always have in larger organizations.
From my experience you really get out what you put in, and if you innovate to create solutions that work is rewarded when your bonus & yearly raise comes around in February.
I feel like for the stress / expectations of autos the position doesn't pay comparably, it seems the majority of people in autos operations want out and turnover is high. The job needs to be simplified or pay needs to be drastically increased.
