Working at UP is something I am proud of; however, it is frustrating to constantly feel like your job is at risk of layoffs. UP also advocates satisfaction of employees, however lowering WFH option to 1 day/week makes the job less competitive/desirable and does not help improve work/life balance.
I often say, the company pays well and has great benefits but you sell your soul to work there. Meaning, there are definite monetary perks but you work long hours, are constantly understaffed, and it is very stressful with little long term relief.
Cooperation among team members to succeed.
The push to promote form within the company
The half wfh has improved moral
The employee engagement activities can be fun and interactive
feeling like I accomplished something
The focus on individual development
Separate sick and PTO pay
The Salary is competitive for the work you do
The salary for management employees
We would be more efficient with a "team" mentality.
Working from home gives me back a couple hours of my day
They will go to bat for you if needed when a customer is unreasonable
There are a lot of people who do the bare minimum and it affects the workload of those who work hard.
There is no consistency in our team roles or "hot topics". Staffing shortage. Employees don't trust management since there is no consistency which makes it hard to manage.
