  • It's constantly busy, but no one expects you to be online all the time. However, many people, including me, do a bit of work on the weekends to catch up.

  • Mostly driven by the individual. If your work is getting done on schedule there is no pressure. There are some who love to work all the time and they do, there are others that get their work done and get out of the office asap. Mid day breaks to hike, bike or run are common.

  • NetApp is riding the wave of the stock market for the most part. Some new business management has trimmed the fat which has greatly improved the bottom line. The rest around innovation is mostly stagnated or following market direction. There is no disruptive technology being innovated.

  • Flash is growing the fastest, cloud products are ramping up, and OCI are leading the way. Object storage is not gaining much traction yet

  • Get rid of the inexperienced first line management. Find an innovative technical leader/leaders. Those already there that have decades of practical experience I would put them in leadership and decision making roles rather than marginalizing their experience as not relevant or completely ignored.

  • Meh... it is okay. I can't think of an African American that works there in my business unit (of about 400 people) but I certainly don't know everyone. Seems about as diverse as other tech businesses, on the young and inexperienced side for a large part though.
