I think we have a very empathetic, reasonable leadership team. One of my favorite things about the last year has been the acknowledgement from the leadership team that the entire pandemic is difficult and draining, and that we're given the space to take a breather every now and then.
The opportunity to build and create impact. I wanted to be able to effect large scale change on an organization, and Nextdoor has delivered that in spades, and I am absolutely loving it. There's something special about being able to see the impact of your work in real time.
I actually feel underleveled - I had a senior/lead title for the last several years, and should have been hired at the commensurate level, but was instead hired midlevel. I received my offer right after the pandemic started, so it felt like the team took advantage of that to underlevel/underpay me
Appreciation and shout outs. I have never had my work get more shout outs than I do now, and its not even close. It feels like every time I do someone great, there's someone there to notice and give me a shout out in an all-hands or a team slack channel or even to my managers
