I am working 12-15 hours days for months on end and it is only getting worse. More money or the work life balance we supposedly win awards for would be nice.
I've never had a review or a raise and when asked about other opportunities or positions it was made clear my current position is my only option. I see no path upward. Regular reviews and at least opportunities for raises seems like a reasonable request.
For a long time the company seemed to hire the best and brightest. At some point it seems it is not possible to grow large or quickly without missing the mark more often. It seems to be a side effect of growing into the next evolution of the company.
There is a lot of adjustment right now in a short time period and we are assured things will get better but we are not given anything concrete. In the meantime for some people this transition is not a pleasant work/life balance which we normally claim to value. This does not track with that claim.
For a long time the work life balance was as good as we claimed. More recently that is not the case and we are told it will eventually get better but there are no signs of it. This pace cannot be sustained and there are going to be people leaving. That may just be expected at this point.
