There is a lot of adjustment right now in a short time period and we are assured things will get better but we are not given anything concrete. In the meantime for some people this transition is not a pleasant work/life balance which we normally claim to value. This does not track with that claim.

I got a promotion during COVID which makes me feel like the compensation would have been higher pre-COVID. I also don't have a clearly defined set of responsibilities within my role. If I did, I would understand if I was being paid fairly and be able to take direct action. Right now it's vague.

We have no bonuses, no yearly raises, no 401k match. Since COVID began, we also lost all of the office perks (snacks, coffee, lunch at the end of the week, beer, etc). We currently have no work from home benefits including compensation for increased electricity, increased data usage.

For a long time the work life balance was as good as we claimed. More recently that is not the case and we are told it will eventually get better but there are no signs of it. This pace cannot be sustained and there are going to be people leaving. That may just be expected at this point.
