Exhausting and stressful. I'm feeling completely underappreciated and misunderstood with my line of work as my department (bookkeeping) is suffering in work due to being the sole bookkeeper at my store and receiving no help.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I feel happy and excited when I come into work and can interact with my fellow associates - they've made working at my store wonderful. I feel welcomed and that I can openly talk to them about any personal issues; there is no judgement when I interact with them.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Management is not standing with their associates when issues arise or make associates feel alienated. I personally feel backed into a corner with no help or care for understanding my situation when there is so much going on that I am unable to do most of my work efficiently.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
I feel that they could improve their capacity to be compassionate or understanding that my line of work normally is split between 2 to 3 people and yet being the only real bookkeeper leaves me with an overwhelming amount of tasks that I am unable to complete when limited with a short time to work.
