As an assistant I'm not pain anything more than an average team member, but I am held to a higher standard with more responsibilities and am expected to be on call.

My manager, they have effectively harassed me twice, saying I should find a new job, then turn around and say that they would hate to lose me as an employee.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
My manager believes that just because someone is in a higher position they automatically deserve respect, but respect is not deserved it is earned. This kind of thinking needs to change.
