I have been able to learn a lot since starting here, and I think that while Certinia still needs some work in the taking-care-of-its-employees department, it is all around a great place to work due to the benefits it provides and the environment with other coworkers.
What makes you most happy at work?
Refactoring old code, solving problems, talking with my teammates!
What are some of the best things about your team?
We can all talk things out and discuss the best approach to a problem, and someone is always available to help if needed.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I think it's great that Certinia cares enough about its profits to arrive at the conclusion that for that, it has to take care of its employees, along with the benefits and the social help it provides.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I was not promoted when I think I should have, nor did I receive a reasonable raise. The reason was "because of budgetary reasons". I don't think this is a valid excuse when every in Town Hall meeting the higher-ups say everything's going great.
