It's been great for stability and learning, I have been able to grow as a professional and even start a career shift, but sometimes I do feel stuck and burnout due to the stress that comes from having to juggle finances.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
That it is relaxed but respectful - we're not too formal but no hateful language is tolerated (for the most part).
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is efficient, communicates directly, and doesn't waste time in pleasantries. We're straight to the point and get our job done.
What makes you most happy at work?
Getting to learn new things, getting better at what I do, while also having room to be human, i.e., not being pressured to perform if I'm sick.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My manager is good at setting realistic goals and helping us attain them, he's well organized and that fosters a culture of efficiency and healthy boundaries in our team.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Half of one of my paychecks is stuck in a restaurant card that I can only use at certain places. I'm not free to use my cash the way I need it and it makes it hard to eat healthy. I'm making just slightly above minimum wage in my country, which keeps me barely above water.
