I enjoy what I do and I hope I promote a positive and encouraging culture to my team to enjoy their roles as well. Heartland is more of a family to me and I love to make positive impacts with my peers, merchants, and sales.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Given the past year and also given the current financial success of the company, I wish we were valued more monitarily. I wish our merit increases were given when they should have been.
What makes you most happy at work?
Working with the group of folks I get to work with every day. Everyone for the most part is happy with their jobs and I enjoy connecting with them on a personal and professional level.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our adaptability and willingness to do what needs to be done. We all have a full plate and seem to do more with less in terms of staffing, but we make it work. My team is great overall.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Their empathy and willingness to allow us to work from home where we can still contribute as a team member towards our goals. The flexibility is paramount as we continue forward. I also appreciate the open lines of communication with my direct leadership team.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Currently, our ability to adapt to our current state and work from home. This is very important to me and important to future Heartlanders as we move forward as a company. We should adapt where we can and allow WFH positions going forward to attract the right talent.
