While the company has good values on the surface it doesn't always execute them well. Stores get lost in the weeds and it doesn't really feel like you have a voice. If you have a good store manager though you can have a great atmosphere and co-workers. The company has room for improvements.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
With the cost of living and the amount of knowledge staff is required to have the pay needs to be higher. Pay better wages.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My personal store GM is fantastic and genuinely cares about their employees. The management team needs to work on communication. However their first priorities are always the animals and the employees so that's a plus.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is amazing and that has to do in large part to good hiring. I know my GM works hard to hire good people and it shows. We are all nerds, we all get needs, and everybody works hard.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people at my store. The company has good values but has lots of room for improvement when executing them. For example, higher pay. Repairing and updating stores in a timely fashion. For example, our break room has 0 locks while both restrooms have locks. Thefts have happened multiple times.
