Not trained and overworked. Underpaid
Our store leaders were a great team who worked well together, supported each other and their staff and made our jobs easier. They truly cared about their team.
If stores were to govern themselves... Things would run way smoother.
The team is always patient, understanding, and watchful of its subordinates.
Store level management is fantastic, until they become overworked and burnt out.
They have great ideas but fail to execute them in a timely manner.
Its okay they do alright
The manager in charge of animal care is so supportive and is so caring about the animals.
Supportive and can be understanding
Leadership is good and they do try there best but they have poor training including managers do to upper management, guess they just dont care.
They do there best to keep there workers happy but poor training and upper management keep them from doing there best.
Theyre nice and understanding. They listen well
They work together very well
Thoughtfulness and the handling of covid
Helps to keep us feeling empowered
My personal store GM is fantastic and genuinely cares about their employees. The management team needs to work on communication. However their first priorities are always the animals and the employees so that's a plus.
They try to help me with different issues
Review from Product Dept
Usually easy to work with and fun.
All very helpful and welcoming
I have never meet our leadership team. Only heard what people say about them. I am not the type that listens to what other say. I like to meet them and make my own decision.
Well all leadership is new but the temp ones we have had from other store theres two supervisors and both were really good, two were gms. I was told by one if them no my opinion can not be taken into consideration-it was something that truly only affected me and change my entire week up.. not okay
Reading comprehension, basic people skills, positive feedback
They need to take accountability they need to provide structure they need to have proper documentation and they need to supply all of the necessary things to do the job and they need to listen to their employees when they are having issues and take corrective measures
Listening to their workers. I understand corprate is corprate but sometimes you have to listen to what your employees are saying. My loction and other locations are in different areas. They don't make the same income. Realize that.
Leading by example instead of giving instructions over the phone
Transparency, genuine, understanding and less self centered
Review from Operations Dept
Focus, strategy, valuing employees. Paying employees should not be a nice-to-have, but ab investment in the business.
Running a profitable business, employee treatment
Review from Sales Dept
Be more supportive and understanding.
Providing employees with the tools they need to do a good job. Safety is also not a huge concern.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Communication! None of the managers are on the same page. And none are knowledgeable regarding polices.
time management and prioritizing animals. also favoritism in the work place.
Doing their jobs and listening to employees.
communicating with each other respectfully (instead of using bias to get their way)
Following policy and not favor others
Actually treating us like human beings and giving us a living salary
Lower expectations and not treating sales floor employees like garbage. Stop spending time in the office on your phones.
Review from Sales Dept
Not turning the other cheek for managers who have problems because they hit bumebrs
Holding our leaders accountable when they are violating the code of ethics.
Employee support at a store level. It takes more than a 2 person skeletone crew per shift to take care of a hundred plus animals and hundreds of fish. They set unrealistic goals and put you down when you dont meet these astronomical numbers.
