Petco Team Employee Reviews

What are some of the best things about your team?

We are always exceeding expectations.

Review from Operations Dept

Everyone gets along the ones that are bad are the store manager

Everyone is friendly, supportive, hardworking.

There are some that are willing to learn. Some that are so compassionate about animals it makes you forget about the corrupt corporate you work for. Then you have your boss that is just working non-stop to make the stop the best without any recognition for the top.

The groomers in the salon, well besides the one that harassed me and 3 other girls

We're like a family at the store level

All coworkers except GM are fun to work with and run productive shifts.

I'm in the grooming shop so my team is very small compared to the rest of the store I enjoy working with all three of the people that I do work with we all get along quite well I also do you seem to get along well with the store employees also

Powerful small team, always available, truthful trust worthy

Review from Operations Dept

At least in my area partners worked together to support each manager. Support with knowledge and staffing was very common

They are all kind people

Some team members awesome others terrible

Everyone has a specialty, and almost everyone does remarkably in their areas.

They all love animals and are knowledgeable about their care.

A portion of my team are hard-working and dedicated employees. The rest are there to collect a paycheck and the hard workers have to pick up the slack.

Most are there to do their best.

Supportive and encouraging to the team as a whole

Other partners are always ready to help each other out and love to work together

My team will do anything I request. I give them the same respect in return as long as it is reasonable. However without me and other key factored people involved in leadership this team we've built would fall apart at the blink of an eye. They're great but when not guided they don't care.

My team is diverse and creative and fun!

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Honesty and bounderies and respect

Get rid of the most expensive groomer so we can make out goals.

Advocating for ourselves. The GM and DGM needs to stand up for their hard workers. If they're not performing HELP THEM, DON'T WRITE THEM UP.

Advocating for ourselves at a store level. I wish the GM and DGM would stick up for us. Maybe actually follow the "Engagement Model"

We need support. We need more people so we can have three people per shift instead of two, sometimes one (if someone calls out, it's even more work).

Not much, other than realizing how screwed over they're getting and start speaking up about it.

Review from Sales Dept

Working together without spreading rumors

Communication and teaching. Everyone is there to rule of Everyone

Stop bullying, do their jobs. Clean up afterwards. Feed the animals. Currently the fish person does not feed any of the fish. "It makes the tanks dirty". Nor, do thy feed or give the betas fresh water. Only one girl cleans the salon. They are now trying to make her quit. I'm surprised she doesn't.

Review from Customer Support Dept

It was drama all the time, and supervisers brushes it off

Need to encourage greater transparency and a willingness to speak up when things are not right.

yes actually take action against the multiple complaints people have put in on these workers instead of just ignoring the issue -1964 Allen Park

Getting all their tasks done in an appropriate timeframe. They constantly rely on me to do their jobs for them.

Review from Sales Dept

Actually do their job efficiently

Review from Sales Dept

Everyone including managers need to work together to be consistent across the board lack compassion and sense sometimes

Review from Operations Dept

Work together and be respectful without letting bias impact

Review from Executive Dept

Not be back stabbers and fire people off of others false words

Review from Sales Dept

Employees must find the value in team work rather than independent goals. Adaptability and the need to compromise in a fast-paced environment is always necessary.

Review from Sales Dept

Meetings about meetings is ridiculous. Focus on meetings, not what happened on Will & Grace

Review from Executive Dept

Be available to help customers. Just plainly help get tasks done instead of only worrying about tasks and the store and animals when corporate come in
