Has been very good in the past, company really struggling now and doesn't get behind its partners.
Review from Operations Dept
Not trained and overworked. Underpaid
Our store leaders were a great team who worked well together, supported each other and their staff and made our jobs easier. They truly cared about their team.
If stores were to govern themselves... Things would run way smoother.
The team is always patient, understanding, and watchful of its subordinates.
Store level management is fantastic, until they become overworked and burnt out.
communication, not being so hypothetical and not putting themselves first

Understand that their employees are human beings, not autonomous machines that can do the full extent of what they want every customer, every day.

Well all leadership is new but the temp ones we have had from other store theres two supervisors and both were really good, two were gms. I was told by one if them no my opinion can not be taken into consideration-it was something that truly only affected me and change my entire week up.. not okay
Reading comprehension, basic people skills, positive feedback
They need to take accountability they need to provide structure they need to have proper documentation and they need to supply all of the necessary things to do the job and they need to listen to their employees when they are having issues and take corrective measures
Insurance options are flexible and you have a lot of choices
I love all parts equally
Great medical coverage for the price
My compensation is poor. The only good part is the possibility of earning commission.
There's nothing to brag about.
i am expected to work part time salary for 40+ hours per week, i am never allowed my full lunch break, i am expected to start work the moment i enter the building regardless of shift time or if im clocked in, i do not get bathroom breaks most days, and i am expected to always stay late

Pay security. Knowing if i miss to many hours or miss target by $1 that doesnt mean i deserve to starve that week.

My store is really rough. Basically starting over with no one whos been there for longer than 6 months. Im the animal care person, only job is to care for animals. I had to stand up for the snakes who all (17) had mites when i started. I'm the only reason why they got treated. Made my manager let me
Was made to feel undervalued and alienated by manager despite proving to exceed all goals during my time with the company
Better recognition in place would be good
We are always exceeding expectations.
Review from Operations Dept
Everyone gets along the ones that are bad are the store manager
Everyone is friendly, supportive, hardworking.
There are some that are willing to learn. Some that are so compassionate about animals it makes you forget about the corrupt corporate you work for. Then you have your boss that is just working non-stop to make the stop the best without any recognition for the top.
The groomers in the salon, well besides the one that harassed me and 3 other girls
we need to stop acting like this is high school and gossiping about everyone customers or employees

Honesty and bounderies and respect
Get rid of the most expensive groomer so we can make out goals.
Advocating for ourselves. The GM and DGM needs to stand up for their hard workers. If they're not performing HELP THEM, DON'T WRITE THEM UP.
Advocating for ourselves at a store level. I wish the GM and DGM would stick up for us. Maybe actually follow the "Engagement Model"
how everyone but the manager tries to be a team player and support one another

We make it positive at store level.

The customers and animals. The discounts
Coworkers get along pretty well
The managers keeping the peace to prevent our downfall from shelbi and Camry
Review from Sales Dept
To much to name but mostly treatment of employees
Managers not curse you out in front of people
Better benefis and more help.
Replace the underachievers and reduce the percentage of contractors.
Taking better care of its employees
how quickly she got me im for an interview

Quick and straightforward process. Application was easy to follow
Being able to meet the team, see the store, train a dog.
The interviewer was very nice and asked very important animal care questions
Review from Sales Dept
It was relaxed and the questions were basic interview questions.
No one in store cares about customers.
Interviews vary from one person to next
Hire good General Managers with a very strong and outstanding background in managing and communication along with knowledge of marketing, inventory and animal care. Coach them on their shortcomings and pay them well enough for them to care.
Require background checks &call references
Hiring people looking for a career in grooming. Not just people who have been around animals. Looking at a history of working somewhere longer than a year. And not just hiring because you “liked them
Working with the pets makes me happiest.

I like to work at a fast pace, i go in and do my job
New projects, holiday seasons, training employees, going over the store numbers. Weird stuff like that.
The time spent caring for the animals
Being productive and making a difference
we need to stop being so profit driven and acknowledge the work the lowest paid put in and listen to customer concerns about animal safety

Remove corporate stooges that only care about money.
Stoo closing the store early
Lack of labor and training. Forced selling of memberships
Review from Operations Dept
Prices keep going up and the foot traffic is going down. Make VCP more marketable. Offer discounts on supplies or more rewards.
The family feeling is amazing
Review from Operations Dept
The new CEO. He is going to do wonderful things for that company. The work is enjoyable, and most customers are great! The satisfaction of the job is good, they just need to pay better for employee retention.
Review from Customer Support Dept
