Petco will make you work an upper management position without promotion or the pay. Then use you until they can find someone to fill the position you worked hard trying to get. It's happened to myself and 2 other employees.

Senior leadership, especially justin tichy is a thought leader that shows genuine care for the partners down to the part time cashiers. The respect he shows communicating the reasons for change and giving sense of purpose is the best in the retail industry.

On the store leval it's hard. Unfair treatment from GM's and Gels is hard to ignore. We are encouraged by CEO to report, but when we contact hr the complaint or concern is sent back to our DM and GM with our names. So we have no recourse.

Stayed at the company for over 15 years which hindered keeping pay competitive. Workload increased without compensation.

4 years and 3 as a manager and I barely make above minimum wage. Benefits are the only decent thing worth staying for as I need them for a medical condition
