leadership at dicks lacks employee developement. They wont allow anyone to excell or develope any employees especially any threat of higher potential. The merch managers are very condescending and will set you up to fail to make themselves look better. its really sickening and sad.

They consistently ask how they can improve. They are trying hard to adapt to a recognition based culture but are still stuck in an accountability driven culture. They often times push Omni sales above all else and it kills the customer experience

There is always a lot of drama and people are always talking about each other. Managers are always speaking about their workers to other workers which is not professional at all.

Not playing favorites. Managers will adjust some peoples schedules so as to avoid them getting a point while others are forced to accept the consequences. People are called lazy and stupid all the time and called out and embarrassed in front of everyone instead of privately.

There needs to be more spot checking on assigned duties per department on takings. Better leadership in making co-workers help the designated areas of concern at closing time, like helping out the apparel dept with clean up. That dept meant is always hit hardest.
