Many elderly or overworked parents prefer to work with one trusted employee for other items across the store's inventory. Plus, it helps fill shifts!

The ways things were explained to me to get me into position arent the way things are. If I tried to work that way, certain things wouldnt get done around the store. I think im compenstated fairly. I think the expectations are a bit out of wack

I believe the profits are made at the store level, but the executives and home office get the big salaries, not at the score level. Doesn't make sense

Pay time. Only choose 402K.

What are some of the best things about your team?

The majority of everyone wants to work hard. I think they deal with the same stress of customers having zero patiences now. There are some managers who would rather walk by a bad behavior than correct it and then expect another manager to do it. Which is aggravating.

Footwear team backs each other up when customer who's waiting for a shoe needs help at kiosk. But there's poor signage on how to look up requesting sneakers @ kiosk. Elderly folks want personal attention.

They all work hard, and are super customer forward

the personalities of my teammates are great, we all get along with the common struggle of oufr jobs being signifigantly harder than need be

Indont have enough space, to say. there are a few coworkers that are the younger ones, who were defintely raised right, and are respectful and hard workers. they are the same all the time. i cant say that for majority of the employees and management they switch up all the time and act a majority

Everyone for the majority is trying to help each other out. Customer service and retail in general is just challenging now post covid. Customers dont have patience and employees dont want to take the crap from customers for barely a liveable wage. Ipeople shoppingdont look at retail workers as human

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

I believe everyone is dissatisfied with their raises the past two years. Prices on everything has gone up, our wages aren't keeping up.

The District Manager position needs an overhaul to include positive messaging. The Store manager position needs to be elevated and empowered as well as supported.

The store manager micheal hays makes it horrible and makes ppl so uncomfortable

Less stressful hours, cut out the good old boy network

The entire management needs to be wiped out and they need to be held accountable for Their Actions.

My second interview was great with our DM and our HR manager. My first interview with the store manager was awful. She was writing down quotes that I said to use herself. I felt like I was interviewing her

I think an improvement would be being more prepared and picking the best manager that has the best qualities to conduct an interview.

Stop making people come back two to three times before hiring them.

When an employee works 3rd shift and gets finished at 7am. Dont have an interview at 530 or 6 am . just busted my butt for 6 hours and being that late in the morning very tired

no manager was on the same page at all, nobody knew i was hired until i had told them. i went through 4 interviews with differemt managers because there was no communication on their end that i was hired
