Smarsh used to be a good place to work. Then our focus shifted from caring about our existing customers and providing a quality product to bookings and rocket ships. It feels like the company is being run by children.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Smarsh has not had any sort of culture since 2018.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Make the damn product work consistently. If we do that, the bookings will come with little to no effort on our part.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are all acutely aware that sales is the only thing the execs care about and the product only needs to work long enough to for us to be sold. Exec team needs to listen to our EXISTING clients.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Stop focusing on sales! Stop hiring more salespeople! Stop only showing what sales is doing at every large company meeting! This is a common theme that the execs seem to keep missing. Make our product better and stop talking about sales, sales numbers, bookings and the things only THEY care about.
