Opportunity. My journey here has been all over the place, which means I've had a lot of opportunity to grow. That said, the growth has not led to much compensation or title growth yet.
What makes you most happy at work?
I feel like I make an impact and that I'm given opportunities to make an impact.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I think, once again, it's the fact that people are so willing to help and excited about growth (theirs and yours).
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone loves questions, both asking them and answering them. I don't ever feel like a burden on others as they are happy to help. Also, everyone wants to grow as well as help you grow.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They seem to genuinely care and are looking for ways to better understand where everyone is at in the company, not just other leaders. Not everything is on point, but they really do work to ensure they're doing what's best for the employees at large.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I've been doing the job of a senior for months and am currently on pause to be promoted because they want to wait till the end of year cycle (do it when it is happening, not on certain cycles). Benefits are fine, but not super applicable to my life/needs.
