Synopsys is great and provides great opportunities for its employees. Synopsys was my first job. I left 5 years ago and came back, because I loved this company. But now, with more experience, I see that Synopsys is only good for junior employees, not for experienced and talented ones.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My team, my coworkers. Just that.
What makes you most happy at work?
I love my job, but I'm really not happy about going to work because I feel underpaid.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We work as a team and sacrifice for each others, even when you don't get paid and promoted as we should.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Recognize the workforce. Just on my team we have employees with 2, 5, 7, 10 and 15 years old, with completely different responsibilities, but all in the same position - STAFF (as per the new job architecture).
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Salary increase. I've been working extra hours almost every week for years, got no promotion at all, and the salary increase was 4%. The official inflation in Portugal is 9%. The real inflation is at least double that. With that and the RTO policies, I'm being paid the same as I was 4 years ago.
