It's fantastic. In business school case study we would probably come to the conclusion that this business model is too expensive and wouldn't work, on some level I joined the company to see if the hype was true. And it is. There are pockets of resistance to change, but it's a small minority.
What makes you most happy at work?
Removing internal obstacles and creating new pathways for our people to do their work more effectively and seeing the solutions our teams come up with for our customers.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The comp package at UKG is incredible, the 401k match is probably unparalled in a company our size, the company also pays 100% of premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families, and the plans are first-rate.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They communicate clearly and transparently on a regular basis to the company through videos, emails, quarterly "State of the Business" presentations. They are focused on the right things: maintaining employee engagement, developing our people, and meeting top and bottom line goals
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Genuinely inclusive and people-focused. People leaders from front-line managers and up are expected to do the right thing for their people and are evaluated based on their directs' reviews of them each year. The process is collaborative and open. I've never worked anywhere like this in my 20 years.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Even though the company has grown substantially in the last decade, there are a lot of employees with 5-10 years of experience and the vast majority are very good at what they do. It's easy to work across teams and get help when needed. People really care about each other and helping our customers.
