What do you like best about the leadership team?
My supervisor communicates well and offers both positive and negative feedback
There is an effort to share information by sending email blasts constantly.
Technically I go to school here but the amount of stress I am put through doing work I would consider that working. Many professors encourage us to get involved although it is more up to the students to take the lead.

The management have the worst dispositions. Their miserableness trickles down throughout the department
There is no leadership here.
They need to stop changing our jobs on a weekly basis. They don’t seem to know what they’re doing

What is the best part about your compensation package?
I'm not really sure. I've only been here a short time
I am very happy with the flexibility of the hours in my current schedule.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I worked the same hours and had the same responsibilities as the permanent staff, and received no benefits.
Being paid regularly would help. Frequently we are not paid and they never tell us why
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone has a different approach but we work great together
The meetings include everyone and solicit feedback from the 'front line' staff.
I have developed many great relationships with professors and look forward to coming to seminars and lectures more than I used to.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Despite management, my team was great to work with.
My coworkers are great, it is the leadership that is the problem.
No one is motivated, everyone calls our too much, does too little.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is incredibly friendly. It's like a family here at RCE
There is a competitive streak in the unit as it pertains to research and grants, but overall it is a professional environment.
We are encouraged to do our best and work at our own pace.

Management needs to be replaced with those who have a more positive perspective.
Less of an emphasis on "publish or perish" and more of an emphasis on actual education

What did you like most about the interview process?
Sometimes they showed their sense of humor and made me feel more relaxed
It appears that HR does take their time in making decisions/offers. Also, the HR dept. is stretched. They would do well to hire more professionals and raise the bar.

The application process was a lot harder than I expected in all honesty and I was surprised that they accepted me.
What makes you most happy at work?
Having a positive impact on people's lives through nutrition information
I have a great boss and peers. The work that I do engages me and I can see the impact.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The management does not understand the workload and does not listen to staff when feedback is given.
My boss has no idea what they’re doing. And they are just all over the place.
I work in customer service and get yelled at all day long. People are mean.
