WinCo Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

My retirement plan(esop) and 401k

Posted a day ago

It is given, not taken from your mini, non existent check

Review from Customer Support Dept

The company stock is privately owned so it doesn't fluctuate as much as public stock.

The ESOP and insurance programs

Its soso. The insurence is ok.

Health insurance and stock ownership program

Health benefits and the esop

Knowing that when I retire, there will be enough. Take care of what I need or if I should pass. My husband will be taken care of..

The pay rate and frequency of raises

The insurance is top notch

Esop and medical are amazing.

Their great if they'd allow the time off to go to the doctors sometime.

Review from Sales Dept

We help our community and ourselves by giving them good safe environments to shop at.

ESOP is awesome but terms aren’t explained. Rate increases are decent if the point system can be complied wit

Full coverage insurance for you and your family for less than $60 a month with less than a $400 total family dedictible.

20% of income back each year in Employee stock! With a company that has shown growth year over year! Opt-out 401k instead of an opt-in program makes additional retirement savings easy!

Review from Operations Dept

ESOP is a great retirement plan

Review from Sales Dept

they have a great medical plan and eye glass plan

I have heard good things, however im only hired part time. I have limited benefits...mostly just sick pay.

Health insurance is the best part of Winco

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

A living wage so I can afford to live.

Better pay along with better hours. ACTUAL bonuses not a gift card to the store, thats pathetic

There's other stores where employee own they pay more lawmore was with the job they will require to do management. Ask us to do 3 task for task at a time. It means we have to do more work for less pay

I feel like I am doing the work of multiple people, and I feel like working freight deserves more than $1 extra in pay

Compensation for the many task being added to my job title like training.

They're hiring new employees at $15/hr and yet won't give me a raise from $14. You don't even start earning sick pay until you've worked for a year, so make sure you never get sick. Every other place I've worked at waits at most 6 weeks before earning sick pay (not vacation, sick pay)

More pay and less cut hours.

You get minimum wage (or slightly above if you can stomach being around long enough) for doing genuinely hard work, cant call out sick more than four times a year. On top of no benefits if you work less than 25 hours a week.

If I could help in making the overall work environment better with my ideas. Our compensation is not keeping up with the economy.

I think a discount at our stores would be a great start. Especially with cost of living and inflation. It would only make sense with other companies offering such.

Stocks were a complete joke. You're given a percentage of your annual pay (which is great if the minimum wage is high in your area) but if it's low then don't expect the growth they make it sound like you'll get. Pay was sub par. Other places paid 5 more an hour starting. Benefits don't pay bills.

More pay better hours opportunity to move up

A wage you can actually live from. Maybe new hires will stay longer and the work load on stable employees will get easier.

I do entirely too much and deal with way too much ignorance from my managers.

I feel undervalued because I'm a hard worker but get treated less than by store managers than other employees who don't even show up to work. I work harder for the same pay as a coworker who only faces shelves all night, but when the 500 takes don't get completed, I'm the one getting chastised.

I already work hard for the store i work at. Im sure im not the only one, but i know times have been rough for us but i feel like we should be getting compensated a bit better. I know us as a company are doing great sales wise, but our wages arent fair for the amount of work some of us do

The money is ok. The attendance policy and scheduling makes it hard to balance life and when you only hire adults how do they expect adults to live and not get enough hours to live on. Also illness is not under anyone's control and the point system is not a fair one especially during a pandemic.

Imagine expecting you need 100 employees And you only have 50, but still expecting those 50 employees to do what you need 100 employees to do and not giving bonuses and not paying a livable wage

Yes, believe i was under value, because as a paralegal i can cause trouble by noticing that WinCo policies are above the law; thats why they dont want me back

store management get bonus, yet the average employee just works harder
