How employees describe working at USC
poor culture. Employees are understaffed. Many avoid work tasks they perceive as inconvenient rather than helping each other. Most complain about each other to the point of harassment. I haven't been this mistreated by coworkers at a job in a long time. Management brushes everything off.
i work at Keck med of USC. Leadership is wonderful. I feel hard and included. Leaders really care about the employees..
That I get to enjoy 2 weeks off to be with my family at the holidays.
USC at face value can feel like a very idealistic institution work-wise, in that there is a lot of talk about the great things we should be doing or what is considered to be an ideal working environment (trojan family), but consistently falls short of achieving any of it well...if it all.
Nice people but always room for approvement. A little slow recruiting new hires.

Top Employee Response
Depends on your manager and department. Overall, many employees are self-motivated and dedicated to the mission of helping students excel. There is little recognition for high performing employees and unfortunately, low performing employees are not mentored to improve nor are they laid off. Overall, it is a pleasant place to work and faces the same ups and downs as many large organizations.
