The Children and Families. Accomplishments

Just seeing the smile on the kids' faces and making them laugh is what makes me the most happy at work. Seeing them learn and grow each and everyday makes me the most happy as well.

Knowing that if I have any questions I can ask them without feeling ashamed.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

I feel that there is poor communication from the Shine/Acelero leadership & the grantee through our manager to us. There is a delay in information, if provided at all. Management meetings should be held and not canceled.

New leadership, listen to your staff more, better compensation, better health benefits, change of culture

A different curriculum would make things alot better . Field trips , time out of the building .

I feel like I just get burned out and a lot of the work is repetitive.

No support or communication from senior leadership. Everything is about what not happening instead of speaking and seeing what is really happening in the center. To improve senior leadership needs to stop being on camera and be present in classroom, speaking to staff and families.

we are understaffed and underpaid

it's not always good as the stress of not having a leader to guide you

I fell like what I do is just clean and sanitize and nothing to do with help the teacher with the class .I fell like janitorial and not a teacher assistant .

honestly the upper management could stand to come to the sites more, and they could more than stand to see how these sites actually function day to day. Everyone acts better when their boss in the room, but it's a front. I have seen a teacher force feed a child out of anger and that is the tip of it

Everything ive answered this question with multiple people no change

No accountability for those who consistently do not perform. Hold people accountable and provide professional development to the management team

The hours aren't flexible, I don't have time to eat before I come to work. Plus we can't even eat in the classroom even when kids aren't in the classroom. It's just hectic in the mornings.

i feel as though im being overworked, and im not being appreciated, as a floater i am very depended on and people take advantage of that

Communicating and be flexiable with the employees

We need to work more hard on early Headstart kids going to hit start being potty trained knowing their colors numbers ABC's make Acelero feel like a School and not a day care So no infants so the teachers can focus on the next generation so these kids could be ready for real school.

There is no communication between leadership it self and then the people working in the centers. At the end of the day we hear everything, but the delevery and the messes are being fixed by alot of people in small jobs.

The director should be switched out or go through some type of training to care about their staff

I have challenging students who require one-on-one attention that i can not provide and i have little to no resolution on how to handle the child.

im not even sure at this point to be honest certain things gor spiraled out of control

Management is inconsistent with giving information and keeping true to what information has been provided.
