I've been with Adobe almost 9 years, and I hope to still be with this company when it's time to retire. Staying here a long time doesn't mean that the job gets boring. In fact, it's always evolving and bringing new opportunities to learn, and new responsibilities and roles.

How's the leadership on the Customer Support team at Workfront?
Organized, involved, supportive, professional.
Overall very good people!
The tier 1, tier 2, and developer support leaders are great, but the customer care leader is a bit inexperienced. The new Tier 1.5 leader is nice, but still a bit green.
How does Workfront make decisions around promotions?
Tenure, performance
via a well designed processes
Management conducts interviews and helps gather opinions from tenured members of the teams.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Adobe?
Too much of the culture focuses on pleasantries and glad-handing Oeople who focus entirely on being likable but get nothing accomplished get promoted but people who work hard and get a lot done get overlooked or even punished because they don't spend enough time on "happy talk".
There's not much I would change

What are your coworkers at Adobe like?
They are all nice, like really nice it's like a thing here.
Smart, funny and like-minded. Not afraid to take risks and do what is right for the company.
Adobe is known for being more of a kind culture but really it is just more passive aggressive. People are very territorial and getting money and manpower is a political game just like anywhere else. The difference is that you get stabbed in the back instead of punched in the face.
What are you most excited about working at Adobe?
People I work with. How my work impacts lives of so many people.
Great projects, lots of freedom, amazing people, great benefits and compensation.
The people, the vision and the strategy.
What is the dress code at Workfront?
No dress code and this is awesome!
Relaxed. Most people come in what's more comfortable and appropriate for their position. As an engineer, I typically wear jeans and a t-shirt.
Business casual
How would you compare interviewing at Workfront to other places you've interviewed?
Harder.
A lot of interview gates compared to other places but worth it. My first interview to hire date was about 6 weeks, so pretty fast.
Best interview I've ever had. Team was transparent, engaging, and enthusiastic. My interviews really cemented my desire to join the company.
What's the best part of your job at Adobe?
Innovating, there are always interesting problems to solve and freedom to solve them.
The company has allowed employees a good amount of job flexibility. There really isn't anything we can't do. It is incumbent upon us to find an opportunity and go for it. The only walls at Adobe are the ones we create in our own mind.
My relationship with my manager
What's the interview process like at Workfront?
Long 4-5 stages process
Very nicely structured and with timely responses from HR.
Multiple steps with different people. Casual, but professional.
What do people at Workfront think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Our current CEO is a true professional and a leader who inspires with even his single word - enthusiastic, employee and business oriented, listening and caring.
Our CEO rocks, he's a very talented speaker and knows how to get results.
Alex is an incredible speaker and very good at motivating employees. He also doesn't seem to have a very good grip on what the lower level employees are doing, and often doesn't seem to personally recognize people and call them out for things they do.
What part of Workfront's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Overall business in growing!
Sales and support grow extremely fast. CSM roles are a bit slower.
Sales is always growing extremely fast. Customer Experience overall is fast paced and growing. Development struggles getting appropriate talent.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Workfront?
We need more personal development plans for employees.
Stop the politics of moving up and around the company.
Kill the politics and go with the most qualified candidates when promoting. Encourage an easy way to get more people to collaborate.
How's the feedback proccess at Workfront?
Transparent and vocal from leadership side.
Executives are all open to feedback, anonymous or not.
Difficult, but well received. The executive teams have anonymous suggestion boxes and question boxes.
How do you feel about going to work at Workfront everyday?
very-very motivated and happy.
I enjoy my job and look forward to coming into work every day.
I look forward to going in and helping customers, and learning more with my coworkers.
How's the morale at Workfront?
The overall company morale is very high. People love coming to work. The Support teams in particular like to gripe about trending issues, but will still bend over backwards to help each other out. Cross department communication is still a concern that's working on being addressed. Support agents are working to build relationships with other teams, which appears to be helping the flow of communication from one team to another.
Generally very high.
Morale is generally very high. While there are groups that stick to themselves, there is a lot of collaboration, but a little animosity towards teams that don't work together frequently.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Workfront?
The frequency of early morning meetings with our global teams.
How bad the office politics can be.
I wish there was a defined career path. Few people in management roles started as regular employees. There is a lot of favoritism as well, but is expected in any industry.
What's the best part of your job at Workfront?
Working with people and knowing I'm making a difference in other peoples' work lives.
My co-workers and the customers we help every day!
The no jerks policy. The people for the most part are extremely friendly.
How's the vacation policy at Adobe?
There is no vacation policy. You just leave when you want to. But that can be hard for a manager to deal with when an employee wants to be gone at an important time. There is a sense of entitlement around taking time off where employees frequently book travel before they have even checked with their manager. This leaves the manager in a very tough spot if they ever feel like a "no" is called for. Managers tend to opt to just let people go and delay the projects or tell their stakeholders that they don't have enough manpower. Some people take advantage of that and it creates tension within teams.
Up to you and your manager
All EAs (non-exempt employees) accrue two days of Personal Time Off (PTO) each month for their first five years of service (PTO is prorated for part-time employees). After five years, you’ll begin to accrue more. You can use this PTO for vacation, sick time, personal business, or floating holidays. You are also required to use your PTO during the July and December company break periods. We shut down the week of July 4th and between Christmas and New Years and we are required to use a few of our PTO days during those shut downs. But I always seem to have plenty left over!
Does Adobe have any remote positions?
Yes
Yes. But lately I believe they are moving away from remote hiring.
Adobe is a company that wants you to work in the office. Remote positions are rare.
What part of Adobe's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
The fastest growing is the Adobe Experience Cloud.
Creative cloud gets most of the budget and resources but it brings in most of the money too. Advice is to go where the ROI is proven and you'll have a lot more opportunity.
Creative cloud
how much does the candidate's culture fit impact the overall hiring process?
very highly. However, results are also very important so be prepared to demonstrate how you've made a positive impact in your previous roles with quantitative numbers.
We like to have candidates complement our culture vs. having to fit in.
Adobe's core values are at the heart of how we do what we do. Culture fit of a prospective candidate usually has a near veto on the outcome of the interview. In the hiring I have seen over the years, I haven't come across any example so far where we were willing to compromise on culture fit for knowledge.
How long after an interview at Workfront does it take to hear back?
My interview process was very quick. I had a phone interview with the recruiter on a Thursday, had another phone interview the next day, and then had an onsite interview the next week on Thursday, and then had a job offer by the next day. My total interview process was three interviews over a week and then I had a job offer the day after my last interview.
