As a minority I have felt very slighted since I have been at this company, and I am waiting on the day for someone to care enough to attempt to change the culture.
What did you like most about the interview process?
They were flexible with the time and the two ladies that interviewed me were positive.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive thing for me is hearing the satisfaction of my customers. In my opinion it is all about the customers, so positive feedback from them is the best thing.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The leadership team should address the racial inequality in our company and nation. There is very little black representation in leadership and higher paying jobs across the company and there should be an effort to change that.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel like I am undervalued simply because I am a minority. In a fair situation, any person with my success level and consistent record of having great numbers would be much further ahead than I currently am.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
I think their should be some kind of training that helps people to better deal with others of a different race. The culture is very segregated, and most dealings with co workers of a different race are usually awkward.
