The rules around compensation changes have become very strict & there isn't enough opportunity to increase salaries based on performance. I've been here for almost 4 years and have yet to be consideration for a promotion. I have demonstrated each and every qualifying criteria of a Software Engineer IV (IC4) and have not been considered for the position. I have had conversations with my manager for the past 3 years with no results.

401k offer low matching. No career opportunity, even after years of exceeding performance reviews. Dwindling perks, free healthcare now costs money. No catered lunch. RSU is decreasing in value, share price has never gotten back to the IPO level.

It is not in par with similar companies in the industry. It could have been better. It is very important to retain the top talent. Hiring and grooming a new candidate is more costlier than retaining the existing one.

The amount of work we do is a pretty hefty lift, and I know some of our other counterparts get compensated more with maybe slightly less output. Furthermore, I don't believe our team gets the recognition we deserve for the ARR/MRR that is produced.
