Mr. David A. Zapolsky has been Senior Vice President of Amazon.com, Inc. since May 2014 and has been its General Counsel & Secretary since September 2012. Mr. Zapolsky served as Vice President of Amazon.com, Inc. since April 2002 until May 2014. Mr. Zapolsky oversees the Amazon.com Inc's legal, policy, compliance and regulatory affairs. He served as an Associate General Counsel for Litigation and Regulatory matters of Amazon.com, Inc. since November 1999. Prior to Amazon.com, he served as Partner at the Seattle offices of Dorsey & Whitney and Bogle & Gates. Before moving to Seattle from New York City in 1994, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office and later practiced law at Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz. Mr. Zapolsky received his undergraduate degree in music from Columbia University and a J.D. with honors from the University of California, Berkeley.
