Mr. Louis J. Castle, II, also known as Lou, has been the Head of Seattle Game-Production Studio at Amazon.com, Inc. since March 2017. Mr. Castle serves as a Treasurer of The Meadows School. He served as a Senior Advisor of Transfluent Oy (Transfluent Ltd). He co-founded BLT Acquisition Group, LLC. He is a passionate philanthropist in his hometown of Las Vegas. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of GarageGames, LLC. He served as the Chief Strategy Officer of SHFL entertainment, Inc. since October 3, 2011. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of InstantAction, Inc. since July 2009. He is a 26-year game industry veteran. He co-founded and served as Vice President of Westwood Studios for 18 years. While at Westwood Studios, he served in various capacities including Vice President of Creative Development, General Manager, Chief Operating Officer and Finance Officer. Through Westwood Studios, he contributed a visualization lab to the UNLV School of Architecture and a motion capture system to the school of medicine for prosthetic research. He served as the Chief Strategy Officer at Shuffle Master, Inc. He served as Vice President of Studios at Zygna. He served as Vice President of Creative Development at Electronic Arts. He served as Vice President of Creative Development at Los Angeles studio of Electronic Arts Inc. since 2003 and served as General Manager of its Blueprint Studio. In this role, he was responsible for the production and business strategy. He serves as the Chairman at Metric Gaming LLC and KNPR, Las Vegas' public radio station. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Mojaro, Inc. He serves as a Director of Business Benefits Inc. and Digital Extreme Technologies, Inc. He has been Member of Board of Trustees of Three Square Food Bank since 2009. He serves as a Trustee of The Meadows School. He serves as Director of KNPR, Las Vegas' public radio station. He served as a Director of SHFL entertainment, Inc. from March 15, 2005 to October 2011. He serves on Advisory Boards for the UNLV Arts Council, The Andre Agassi Foundation, The Nevada Ballet Theatre, The Las Vegas Springs Preserve and the Make a Wish foundation. He serves on the Lt. Governor's Entrepreneur's Council, the Executive Committee of the Nevada Development Authority, the Advisory Board of Irwin Union Bank. He has served for 14 years on the advisory board of the Game Developers Conference - the industry's premier annual development conference. He served on the board of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology. He has also taught game design as an adjunct professor at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. In 1999, he was honored with the Game Developer Association's second-ever lifetime achievement award. He has been honored with the Governor's Patron of the Arts award, the Association for Fundraising Professionals Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year award and the Nevada Ballet Theatre's Above and Beyond award. Mr. Castle has been inducted into the Technology Business Alliance of Nevada Hall of Fame, honored by the Chamber of Commerce as a 'Top 40 under 40' twice and received a Governor's Award as Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year.
