Ms. Laureen E. Seeger has been an Executive Vice President and General Counsel at American Express Company since June 2014 and American Express Corp since July 23, 2014. Ms. Seeger served as Chief Compliance Officer, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of McKesson Corporation from March 2006 to June 23, 2014. Ms. Seeger managed a staff of Mckesson's attorneys and legal assistants who provide a wide range of legal services, including advising the Board of Directors and senior management on legal issues and various corporate governance and compliance matters. Ms. Seeger joined McKesson in 2000 as Vice President and General Counsel of McKesson Provider Technologies (MPT), McKesson's healthcare information technology business. She served as Secretary of McKesson Corporation since March 2006. Ms. Seeger represented technology firms in a variety of intellectual property and trade litigation disputes as partner-in-charge of the Technology Litigation Section at the Atlanta-based law firm of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP from 1992 to 2000. She was with Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue from 1986 to 1992. Ms. Seeger served as a Commercial Litigation Attorney at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue. Previously, she served as Vice President and General Counsel of McKesson Technology Solutions. She has been an Independent Director of FTI Consulting, Inc. since March 7, 2016. She served as a Director of Umpqua Holdings Corporation from July 2012 to August 31, 2014. She served as a Director of Umpqua Bank until August 31, 2014. She is a member of the board of the California Chamber of Commerce and the board of the Bay Area chapter of the American Heart Association. She was named one of the San Francisco Business Times 100 Most Influential Bay Area Women in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Ms. Seeger earned a Law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986 and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1983.
