Ashley Furniture Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

Being able to interview with 4 different people which roles consist of plenty experience and knowledge of process and the business.

It was a very normal process

I WALKED IN AND THEY HIRED ME I WASNT ASKED ANYTHING

Review from Sales Dept

My background and experience was respected

Interview good but always room for improvement

The interviewer was already aware of my interest and abilities.

I was hired on spot after first interview

Ability to meet with different areas of the business.

everyone is just so happy to show you around and get to know you

The transparency of the role and responsibilities.

The friendliness and forward nature when laying out responsibilities.

Getting hited and processed and working quickly

Basically they hire everyone and blow through prople

I just feel like they hore anyone, and thats a lot of the reason why we have a lot of people that dont want to work. The young kids right out of school do not want to work. Maybe start then out as part time. Mothers and fathers are the best workers. They have to work to take care of the littles.

Review from Operations Dept

It was an easy interview. They sold me on how great of a company they are. Once you are out there, you learn that the wuality is poor and dishonest.

The quick response and decision making after the interview.

The honest concern about being able to get the job done at a high level

Interview was initially conducted by outside HR recruiter, referred to store location. First location hiring based on unadvertised language preference, Noticed HR person. Second location hired on the spot, desperate to hire anyone. Character, integrity, experience, appearance not a factor.

Management painted the company in a very different light

Their was no structural plan on Management and they give you no clue what the job description is

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

When an interviewer can't show their face clearly on video and says they are a perfectionist, run for the hills as fast as you can, anywhere but this company where they will try to re-program your way of thinking to the point of valuing only being at work under their thumb ALL DAY LONG.

Be honest, especially on what the pay is going to be. Leaving a position in which I am being paid $17 an hour for a position that pays $20 an hour, but later come to find out I have taken a pay cut. That is absurd on every level.

Faster time to hire. Less interviews for low-skilled, entry positions.

Hire able bodied people for the task at hand.

More accurate job description would be nice

Make sure if applying for delivery they are pre tested on physical condition and if hired spend first 3 days with prepers so new hires gets comfortable and acclamation to the basics on assembly instead of pass the back ground and thrown into sink or swim mode expectancy of a fish climbing a tree

Review from Operations Dept

Hold interviews in an office, not the main showroom floor. Have interviewers actually arrive ON TIME to interview potential employees. Let people know it will be individual or group. Some had to wait so long, they had to leave to get their kids from school.

Review from Operations Dept

Interview for talent and future growth. The company brings in people that are mediocre to keep the insanity and tyrannical operations for fear of change and known leadership inability.

Review from Operations Dept

there is no need for 3-4 interviews
