Pay is low and work is high. During filing cycles, it is not uncommon to work 12 hour days as Avalara only cares about their sales team. Sales team sells everything, and leaves the rest of the team struggling to file each month

My direct manager is great. Managers above them - They don't care about us at all

Best thing about the company is the people working here. All my friends have came from this job
What did you like most about the interview process?
I was fortunate enough to not be interviewed. Came from a temp agency and only had to interview with them.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Company only cares about sales. Company meetings highlight everything we've sold. Reviews on Yelp, Google, etc, are all bad
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We're all sinking together. All my coworkers are just as stressed out as I am, so we can all hangout and everyone can understand the stress that each other faces
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We all talk about our pay with other employees. We can compare and know when we are being underpaid. New employees with no tax experience start out higher than employees that have worked here for years
