What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Everyone who is at Avant buys into its mission and cares about helping the company succeed.

What did you like most about the interview process?

It's quick and very casual. They focus mainly on cultural fit. Anybody who gets in the door is usually smart.

What makes you most happy at work?

I have the best boss. I have total autonomy to make important decisions. I feel like I'm making an impact on the company every day.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Everyone genuinely enjoys working with one another, and for the most part, respects one another. There are minimal politics. It's a very flat team structure (i.e. doesn't matter whether you're junior or senior - the best idea always wins).

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The leadership team is as transparent as it gets for an organization our size. They recognize and invest time in top performers. I also appreciate that they're always willing to put in the effort and dive into the weeds with you, when needed.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Bonus structure is a percentage of your salary with multipliers depending on your performance score. This sets a frustrating cap on bonus potential who put in the hours. Also, pay increases are done in a very corporate, slow and steady manner. They should consider jacking up pay for top performers.
