In my current company very simple and eazy process and procedures

Meeting with manager one on one and her being real about the problems in environment

it was a conversation not an interrogation

We use ouside agencys so were not getting the rite people

By putting fair interview panel NOT managers who hire their favourites or friends.

Hire ACTUAL employees instead of looking for friends and diversify hiring outside of just white and mexican males.

It takes forever to go from first interview to being hired, at best 3 months, at worst 6. Too many tollgates and handoffs.

It's way too subjective, and based on a strange criterion - whether the rest of the team "likes" the applicant. This pretty much ensures that new perspectives never come in at all. Very dangerous.
