My team and the company at large are excellent. Despite being trapped in a system that locks healthcare behind 40 hours of labor per week, the company does mostly care for its employees. I feel like I am respected for my skills that I bring to the table, and I don't feel micromanaged.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
97% of the "extra" office activities outside of work hours are not mandatory. I like that I'm not forced to participate in the culture, but it's an open invitation.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I like that everyone genuinely wants to help. It's refreshing to be on a team of good people that aren't obsessed with climbing the corporate ladder at the expense of their coworkers.
What makes you most happy at work?
Days off. I'm great at my job, but no one really likes working. Other than that, I love the beer cart day and getting a moment to socialize with my team outside of the context of our actual work.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Flexible hours and unlimited PTO. I'm allowed to be much more productive than I ever have in any other job by giving 100% of my effort when I'm ready instead of warming a seat at the office for 40 hours a week with 30% effort. I feel like I'm allowed to have a life outside of work.
