my direct manager is amazing
We all work together as a whole
I like that they listen and act
Its a Little confusing at times
They need to move faster with less meetings that disrupt business/work.
Appreciating, supporting, staffing and paying employees.
Vision and engagement from leadership was lacking, the non-profit status should not mean no innovation or communication.
Knowledge and understanding of government regulations regarding home care coupled with improved communication skills. They do not like to be questioned.
caring about employees, work life balance and child care
Need to care about the people. I saw a huge layoff in the IT department a couple times now and it's hard to swallow.
The pension and 401K benefits
Review from Operations Dept
Pension plan and our 401k
Just started looking into more of the benefits
Fair and balanced for the work that I perform. Not the highest but in-line with a longer term compensation strategy which supports the financial viability of the overall organization. This strategy reduces variability during lean economic times.
Review from Operations Dept
Payment for extra shifts worked (moonlighting)
Higher pay and more support from management
We're overworked and under a lot of stress
a higher beginning wage, so it doesn't take so long to make a decent income
Promotions are not fair across the board. For some people, they are simply in-line promotions, a title change and nominal salary increase. Others are told that they need to wait for an open promotional opportunity and apply. BJC market ranges are well below others in the region.
I feel like a number to them and they don't value their employees.
My team is great and works well together. We understand what we should be doing and try our best to do it in an environment that doesn't value our expertise.
Very engaged and welcoming team
We work well together at tomes and seems to care about each other
Mostly just starting to get a positive crew...
We back each other up
work more as a team and not so much gossip about the poor black patients and back biting
The thing they need to do is value their employees.
Talking to my patients is the most rewarding
For the most part everyone in my department is nice and shows up with the best of intentions.
Open communication with a supportive culture
Its the job you can come in and everyone knows whats expected
Employees awesome ,people friendly great hours
Change the senior leadership as they dictate the culture.
Caring, kindness, less judgey about poor black patients
The politics with managers needs to go away and there needs to be loyalty.
This is a health care facility that is fast paced. Many of the staff have been there many years and don't want to change.
Review from Customer Support Dept
My initial experience was 40 years ago...It was good
People were very helpful, friendly and willing to help if need....
Quick interview with a Team Lead who made a decision very quickly.
They responded to my application swiftly and promptly made an offer
Review from Operations Dept
Got a chance to meet many different people on interview day.
Ask pertinent questions as it relates to the job.
Ask questions that pertain to the position. Drop the "Do you have any regrets." question.
nothing, bjc has too many hoops to jump through HR is Horrible!!!
Overall the interview process isn't bad but there is favoritism that goes on at BJC.
when people collaborate for improvement
The work, mission and opportunities
I was a part of the family
Helping my team learn how to collaborate with other departments and take care of themselves to take care of the patients served.
Review from Operations Dept
When patients and customers are satisfied and express it
Poor leadership. Allowing poor performance to be tolerated to have a "warm body". Concern is more about quantity (to acquire $'s) as opposed to quality.
National health care, so profit and money can be removed from the equation of healthcare, better education for patients on nutrition
The organization needs to focus more on taking care of patients and the community it serves, rather than focusing just on the bottom line.
Scheduling could be handled better.
Just everything; ever since the big layoffs in the IT department things have been more negative and just not good.
I like the ability to have different opportunities.
The scheduling could be improved at my company.
