The pay is pretty good
401K matching PLUS additional in lieu of pension
railroad retirement is the best out there
I will say, the benefits and healthcare with the railroad are fair
Review from Engineering Dept
Health care and retirement are the best
Strong anual salary with a bonus on top
The long-term incentive program is very generous.
I like our insurance package
Retirement is the only Thing that makes his job work
Review from Operations Dept
We get paid well for the work we actually do
Pay is good but getting worse with not getting contracts updated.
The pay however it could be better
Retiremet vacations pl days and the money
I get 15 days of sick time per year. The only draw back is if you use more the 6 in a year you are punished and taken to investigation to decide weather you can keep your job or not.
It’s okay. Would like the company to pay above market since we want to hire and keep top performer
Health insurance premiums are good.
Review from Operations Dept
Our medical is could be worse

Treated like a number and not appreciated
Yes undervalued is an understatement. Wage increases comparable to local trade wages
Settle the contract. We haven't had a raise In three years. And when the class 1 railroads met with the unions to discuss the contract they said no raises and Healthcare would double. No that's truly a slap in the face of any employee
Health benefits are the worst for management. If you are union labor you have far better and cheaper benefits. Up to 4% raises (many didnt get that much) when COL increased 8%. Bonus program needs to be true profit share. Now its whatever the executives decide. No accountablity to it.
Underpaid and no sick time us vacation time take to long to get
Cost of living raise, more predictability and stop busting our starts.
Review from Operations Dept
Fair wage increases that would follow inflation. Apropriate compensation for earned time off and not having to wait 8 years for 3 weeks or 17 years for 4 weeks or 25 years for your 5th and final week. Im not saying to get more weeks but to earn them sooner than what it is now.
Actually getting a meaningful contract
Underpaid compared to other industries with comparable profits
Cost of living and inflation pay increases are laughable at best.
Attendance policy is unreal, maybe if you didnt want to have kids....
Because they don’t care all they care about is shareholde
Better time off, better schedules
Havnt had a new contract in over 2 years, inflation up 7% and the railroad doesnt want to give us any raise at all.
Better health insurance n new contract
If the carrier would quit stealing from us, quit attacking our benefits, and quit running us into the ground.
BNSF posts massive profits every year, even 2020. Despite this, the leadership has pushed a propaganda campaign over the last decade of the company always being on the verge of collapse. This then justifies them making massive cuts for "efficiency" and annual raises under the rate of inflation.
Review from Engineering Dept
We are not paid out negotiated agreements.
Top execs make all the momey while paying the bottom nothing
policy result in much more work time with no additional pay.
