open to listening, provide autonomy with responsibility
Can relate to the company overlooking the best qualified individuals for promotion in favor of filling a quota.
They were concerned with the workers
Our guys are down to earth locally, but the upper management is only about profits
My manager is great, he as a person actually cares other than that not so good
Right now, not much. They lie to us and the media.
Transfers most times have a clue in my home terminal.Of whats happening or going on via train movement.Lots of hand in cookie jar per say.It all trickles down hill.
Very nice people to deal with
Steadily in a decline slope
They treat all workers with respect
They supply us with everything we need to be safe and productive.
Review from Operations Dept
Legacy organization with deeply rooted command and control structure
Their continued commitment to safety
Strong alignment. Thoughtful decisions. Guiding the company with top priorities for safety, customers and employees and owners. Positioning our company to lead the rail industry in results and innovation.
There is no leader ship our union works for the company
For the most part management leaves us alone which is good, but that's just because we are on camera all the time
Nothing good about leadship team all ways changeing leaders
the leadership is non biased
Very good people would recommend

Growing the business and focusing on strong employees
Quit focusing on statistics and excessive profit and think about the people
Learn the job they ask us to perform
Get in touch with the employees that actually make the company run day to day. Realize that a rail job isn't the lucrative job that it was 30 years ago. Lots of other jobs in the world the pay better, have better benefits and a far better quality of life.
Hiring people who have done the job, not some guy off the street that doesn't have a clue..
They treat us as if we have nothing to do outside of work and the lineups are such trash that I rarely know when I am going to work. Hard to live this way and the compensation for living this way is not worth it. We need better lineups and they need to stop busting our starts every chance they get.

Actually Leading and not micromanaging.
Understanding that it's not just about making money
Treating people like people would be a great start
Leaders need to learn how to respect employees. They actively srtive to disrespect employees
Review from Operations Dept
They really need to get out and ride trains more to see what we go through daily. The trains nowadays move so slow and are regulated for fuel-saving which in turn leads to longer hours for the crew members. On-time performance for shipments are no longer talked about on a daily basis. Customers hate
Review from Operations Dept
Listening to their employees and coming to terms with why turnover rate is so high
Treating people the way they'd like to be treated. Quit stealing from your employees, changing policies & rules that keep them from their families, and stop making their work even more dangerous. Greed is not a good thing despite what our culture has brainwashed and conditioned us into thinking.
Valuing employees as well as shareholders
Review from Engineering Dept
Stop micro manageing and pay us our claims
Treating people right where do they get these people
Everything, completly disconnected ftom reality. The spend $1mil to save $100k
The HUGE disconnect between management and guys on the front lines, making the money.
Over all my local managment does an ok job. The problem lies towards the top with the companys gread in providing the apropriat number of work force and allowing the crafts to do their jobs without having to watch over our sholders in fear of falsly being accused of some sort of wrong doing.
