Books A Million Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

It was a straightforward process.

I liked when it was over

The manager was friendly and humorous

Review from Sales Dept

Thorough and behavioral based and lengthy

I liked that I was asked a lot of questions and got the feeling that my future boss really wanted to get to know me and was interested in me.

The "welcoming" spirit of the interviewer. She made me feel comfortable. She explained that if hired I would be a "Greeter" and customer service representative. However, she did not tell me that I would have to clean the restrooms at closing. If I had been told this I would not have taken the job.

Review from Customer Support Dept

It was short and nice

How down to earth the management was

They kept the interview very real and genuine.

Review from Customer Support Dept

It was conversational and extremely easy.

Review from Customer Support Dept

It was casual and short

Review from Sales Dept

I liked that we conversed about book series that we both enjoyed

It wasn't too serious. The interviewing manager made me feel comfortable and welcome.

Review from Sales Dept

I felt the process was very thorough, and my would-be supervisor also took the time to ask me my opinion and perspective, working through any concerns that I raised. This showed me how my work environment would be once I joined the company.

It was a relaxed atmosphere.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Call back more quickly is the main thing

Really try and get to lnow the people youre hiring.

it all depends on who interviews you. So its not a standardized process.

Review from Sales Dept

Make the questions asked more meaningful and not waste time.
