The leadership team cares about each of their employees and they look to us for opinions & expertise. They trust the people they hire and check in on us to make sure we're doing okay. The Brex leadership team is my favorite among all the companies I've worked for.

Our Leadership is very transparent in communicating successes and failures. They set ambitious goals and are able to change course, if needed, to achieve them. They are focused on building the best company culture and give each employee the ownership of their career path.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Leadership team doesn't communicate with each other and have petty fights amongst each other. They don't promote people that actually do well. They overwork people with the excuse that they are still a "developing" company even though they have thousands of employees now.
Foster a positive culture. Be aware of their own blind spots.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
They are picky with their overtime pay and they often give you a large workload just because they think you can handle it. They give you restricted stocks that YOU MUST BUY upon entering the company, but with those stocks you can't even do anything.
They got funding but it was spent on filling San Francisco with ads, employees got nothing

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The ability to collaborate and be acceptable of most cultures
Depending on what department you work in, they will expect high performance as they think that they pay alot of your positions so you would be expected to work through breaks and there are people always watching what you are doing and saying on your computers

Brex puts employee experience top of mind. We have a remote-first culture, which allows employees to work from anywhere. Brex is a very fast-paced start-up, but you have the support and empowerment needed to be successful from day 1.

What did you like most about the interview process?
Mine went so fast and the people I met sold me on the job. 1.5 years later, I'm still so grateful that I went through those interviews and got the job.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
It does not make any senses to look for candidates that can code a crazy problem in 30 min. We need motivated people to do things, not the smartest geek in town
